I’ve been an artist for long enough that I’m not afraid to say it. I’ve painted enough that I trust myself and am not as scared to share it. I’ve shared some of my writing online, but I still hesitate to say I’m a writer. I hoard “unfinished” drafts and wonder if they’ll ever be good enough. And that’s okay because someday, I won’t feel that way. If you’re an artist or writer, start saying it now, even if you need to take little steps. It gets easier with practice. This is me trying to practice.

“Just remember, there was once a younger version of you that didn’t think you’d make it here to today. But they’re looking at you now, very proud and very thankful.”
Today, I want to show off someone else’s art!
